Trinity under 17 team enter semi-final

Trinity College, Kandy entered the semi finals of the schools under 17 Division one cricket tournament when they beat St. Anthony's College, Wattala by 95 runs in the quarter finals played at CCC grounds, Colombo yesterday.

Niroshan Dickwella top scored with a fluent 44 which had 7 hits to the ropes. Skipper Akila Jayasundara played a major role by scoring 32 and also taking 2 for 8 and was supported by Sajith Hettarachchi who took 2 for 4.

Trinity College 189 all out in 49.4 over (Niroshan Dickwella 44, Kavinda Jayasuriya 21, Akila Jayasundera 32, Alwis Fernando 31, M. Sameer 20, R. Nalinda 2 for 35, A. Rukshan 2 for 17, S. Sandamal 3 for 25).

St. Anthonys College, Wattala 94 all out in 35.2 overs (J. Perera 45, Sajith Hettiarachchi 2 for 4, Janishka Premasinghe 3 for 24, Akila Jayasundera 2 for 8).
