Junior Tennis Nationals:
Vimukthi beats Guyanga in semis

The Sri Lanka Junior National Championship which is in its
penultimate stages at the SLTA Courts, did take quite a few by surprise
when the 15 year old Vimukthi de Alwis, a junior Davis Cup Player in a
three setter beat the more fancied 18 years old Guyanga Weerasekera, a
senior Davis Cup player.
Vimukthi will now meet Dinesh Kanthan for the Junior Singles Sri
Lanka Title, on Thursday at 2.00 p.m.

The Boys Under 10 semi-finals and the boys Under 14 and Under 16
finals will be worked off this morning and the tournament will probably
be brought to a close on Thursday.
