OSCA Ridma Reyak to woo music lovers
OSCA Ridma Reyak, the musical extravaganza organized by the
Outstanding Song Creators Association (OSCA) will take to the stage at
the BMICH on August 29 at 6.30 p.m.

OSCA which represents all artistes in the music stream including
lyricists, singers, music directors and musicians also includes veteran
artistes like Pandit W.D. Amaradeva who was among the few to pioneer the
organization.
Founded by Jayantha Dharmadasa OSCA has a membership of more than 225
and is the largest organization in Sri Lanka formed to represent a wider
section of music artistes. The tuneful OSCA Ridma Reyak will be held to
raise funds towards the Health and Life Insurance Schemes and a host of
other welfare projects implemented for music artistes. Therefore this
show not only provides an opportunity for Sri Lankan music lovers to
enjoy high quality music, but also to contribute towards the welfare of
their favourite artistes who have entertained them over the years.
A specialty about this year's show is that duets will comprise the
whole show. There will be no solos on the list. Pandit W.D. Amaradeva,

Jayakody, Visharada Charitha Priyadarshani Peiris, Visharada Deepika
Priyadarshani Peiris, Sunil Edirisinghe, Chandrika Siriwardane, T. M.
Jayaratne, Malkanthi Nandasiri, Nelu Adhikari, Kapila Poogalaarachchi,
Keerthi Pasqual, Pradeepa Dharmadasa, Dayan Vitharana, Visharada Rashmi
Sangeetha, Sunil Perera, Nirosha Virajini, Visharada Samitha Mudunkotuwa,
Lakshman Wijesekara, Visharada Mangalika Tennekoon, Harshana Dissanayake,
Champa Kalhari, Upali Kannnangara, Suriyakumar Muttalage, Mohanraj
Muthuswamy, S. Kalawathi, Kasun Kalhara, Mahesh Denipitiya, Kumari
Munasinghe, Ranjani Perera, Anula Bulathsinhala, Menike Attanayake,
Nissanka Diddeniya and others.
Bandula Nanayakkarawasam has penned the script for the show.
Visharada Manoj Peiris will be in charge of the music orchestration. The
Channa-Upuli dancing troupe will perform some captivating dance items.
Susantha Nanayakkara will be charge of stage creations while ITN,
Lakhanda, Vasantham FM and Vasantham TV will be the media sponsors.
