All-time record tea prices

Uva Highlands Group, Bandarawela set a new all-time record for a Uva High Grown BOP by selling a line of Broken Orange Pekoe for Rs. 2,650 per kilogramme at the tea auction on August 19.

This record price by Uva Highlands Group broke its own record of Rs. 2,010 per kilogramme set up at the tea auction on August 12.

At the same auctions Kenilworth Group, Ginigathena fetched an all-time record price for a Western Medium grown Broken Orange Pekoe Special by selling a kilogramme for Rs. 670.
