Softlogic in 49-42 win

Rusiru Ranatunga of Softlogic Group scored 36 points which enabled them to beat Mobitel by 49 points to 42 in their Mercantile Services basketball encounter played at Otters Aquatic Sports Club courts yesterday.

Mobitel Basketball team was in the lead at half time by 26 points to 25. Rusiru Ranatunga was the top scorer for the winning team with 36 points and Hasan Zaina obtained 6 points. M. lqbal scored 11 points and Prabath Fernando collected 10 points for Mobitel.

David Peiris Motor Company routed Mobitel by 51 points to 39 in the women's 'B' Division MSBA Basketball match Shalika Dilrukshi was the top scorer for the winning team with 14 points. Harshani collected 12 points and Piumi Shanika with 10 points.

Gayani Wijesiri scored 21 points for Mobitel.
