Eventhough the LTTE’s drug smuggling activities
are currently at a standstill due to the total annihilation of the
terrorist outfit in Sri Lankan soil, other drug lords will soon vie
for the drug market the LTTE created, says a former Director General
of India’s Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB).

Piyasena Gamage who made an inspection tour in Polonnaruwa,
Welikanda area recently has made arrangements to acquire a land of
50 acres in extent belonging to Mahaweli Authority to set up a farm
to provide training facilities for the youth held in Detention
Camps.
