Professor M Dayal P de Costa recently appointed Visiting Professor in Chemistry in the College of Chemical Sciences (CCS) will deliver the third inaugural Professorial lecture of the College on July 24 at 4 pm at 341/22, Kotte Road, Welikada, Rajagiriya.

Prize giving

The Annual Prize Giving of De Mazenod College, Kandana will be held on July 25 at 3.30 pm at the College Hall.

Founder's Day

The Founder Day of Velautham Maha Vidyalayam will be held on July 25 at 5 p.m. at Colombo 6 Tamil Sangham's Sangarapillai hall. President of the Colombo branch OBA of the Velautham Maha Vidyalayam S. Ehambaranathan, will chair the meeting. Professor Dr. A. Shanmugadas will deliver the memorial speech under the topic 'Vadamaradchi's contribution towards the arts, literature and heritage'.

St Xavier's College 150

St. Xavier's College Nuwara Eliya founded in 1859 by the Roman Catholic Church completes 150 years of service to the country this year. On the eve of the sesquicentennial Jubilee celebrations, the OBA has launched a number of revival projects that include educational, Sports, and infrastructure development activities and the publication of the College history.

Sing-a-long

Southlands College, Galle Old Pupils Association Colombo branch has organised a sing-a-long with Sohan and the X-periments on July 26 at the Banquet Hall of BMICH from 7 p.m. onwards.
