Rhino donates air mattresses

Rhino Roofing Products Ltd. donated air mattresses to the National Hospital in Colombo on July 1. These air mattresses for the orthopaedic section of the hospital would greatly benefit the security personnel and other patients suffering from long-term orthopaedic ailments. Due to the shortage of air mattresses earlier, many patients suffered from bedsores.

However, this can now be prevented by letting them sleep on these mattresses. Rhino Roofing will thus help alleviate the unnecessary suffering of patients and reduce the expenditure incurred by the hospital in treating bedsores.

Managing Director of Rhino Roofing, Jayaseelan Gnanam took action to supply the air mattresses after the Director of the National Hospital Dr. Hector Weerasinghe and orthopaedic surgeon Dr. Pinto informed him about this requirement.

Dr. Hector Weerasinghe, Dr. Pinto, Chief Financial Officer, Rhino, Gnanam, Marketing Manager, Rhino, Manoj Weeraman and Michel De Silva participated.

Gnanam said that as a socially responsible organization, it is their duty to understand and resolve problems in the best manner. He said that Rhino has lent a helping hand even on previous occasions such as national disasters.

The company is currently involved in a project to complete the operation theatre complex of the National Cancer Hospital at a cost of over Rs. 25 million.
