Police - women's soccer champions

Sri Lanka Police women soccerites won the all island inter-club soccer championship beating Sri Lanka Army one goal to nil at Reid Avenue grounds on Sunday. Shamika Rajapaksa was the scorer for the winners Police SC.

Police defeated Badulla SC in the semi-final 1-0, while Sri Lanka Army overcame National Youth team in the next semi 2-1 to reach the final. Fifteen club teams participated in the tournament organised by Football Federation of Sri Lanka.

Shamika Rajapaksa who performed well during the whole tournament was declared as the Most Valuable Players of the tournament. Shehani Madushika (National Youth team) was adjudged as the Best Goal Keeper.
