'UPFA victory inevitable'

The UPFA is in a formidable stand in the Moneragala and Badulla districts and its victory at the forthcoming Uva Provincial Council Election is inevitable, said Agriculture and Agrarian Services Minister Maithripala Sirisena. The Minister was speaking at the weekly UPFA press briefing at the Mahaveli Centre in Colombo yesterday.

The Minister said the UNP's election campaign is so feeble that not a single green flag is visible in the Province.

"Ardent UNP supporters including former Minister Samaraweera Weerawanni joined the UPFA ranks and people of all walks of life irrespective of their political affiliations have stood up in support of the Government which eradicated terrorism from the country, the Minister said.
