Women's inter-club soccer

The women's inter club soccer championship 2009 conducted by Football Federation of Sri Lanka will commence today at Pedris Park and CR&FC ground Longden Place. Kick off is scheduled for 9.30 am.

Fifteen teams from all parts of the country have entered this year's tourney. Police have maintained a fine record winning the title six times. Last year Army SC clinched the title beating Sri Lanka Police.

The participating teams are SL Army SC, Police SC, Kandy SC, Dynamic SC Gampaha, Badulla SC, Viharamaha Devi SC - Kandy, St. Mary's SC - Chilaw, Bibile Madagama SC, Kalutara SC, Kurunegala SC, Negombo SC, Hatton SC, Piliyandala SC, Anuradhapura SC, Youth Team.
