Suspect in Horana triple murder case killed

The alleged suspect in the triple murder in Horana was killed by an unknown suspect on Thursday midnight in Kekulaliya, Horana.

Police spokesman SSP Ranjith Gunasekera said police found the body of the alleged suspect K.D. Ranjith Manoj (30) who chopped to death a girl and her parents on Tuesday night. The body was found on Thursday midnight in Manama, Kekulaliya. Manoj's neck had been slashed, police said.

SSP Gunasekera said Manoj had allegedly raped R.P. Inoka (the girl) six years ago. The case was to be heard on Friday. Meanwhile, underworld gang member R. Ramesh was shot dead by two unidentified gunmen in his house at Station road, Modera yesterday morning.
