Moratu Vidyalaya thrashed De Mazenod College, Kandana by nine wickets in their inter-school under 17 division one tournament cricket match played at Moratuwa for the Lemonade Trophy and organised by Sri Lanka Schools Cricket Association.

Visitors batting first were bundled out for 113 runs with only resistance coming from the bat of Srimal Jeevantha who made 39 runs. Vidyalians notched up the required runs for the loss of one wicket with Govinda Perera hitting a scintilating 67 runs.
