SLAITO to restart KKS hotel project

The Sri Lanka Association of Inbound Tour Operators (SLAITO) is planning to restart Kankesanthurai hotel building project soon. President SLAITO Chandra Wickremasinghe said with the dawn of peace plans are underway to restart the Kankesanthurai hotel building project which was temporally stopped in 1993 and to promote the North and East aggressively as an attractive tourist destination.

"SLAITO's objective is to present Sri Lanka's tourism products with one voice, one message and one direction.

Our committee, which consists of 15 members and membership of over 95 comprising nearly all business involves in inbound tourism, has ensured that the industry remains sustainable even during very tough times".

"Some of our key responsibilities are to develop professional tour organizations, provide unique services and to support and increase marketing activities of the Sri Lanka Tourism Promotion Bureau he said.
