NISC students at soccer today

The Sri Lanka National Institute of Sports Science who are the pioneers in producing coaches and Sports officers in Sri Lanka have commenced their Sports Diploma course for 2009.

Sisira Ajantha de Silva who is in charge of the football course has organized a football match to assess the talent of the participants. This match will be held today at Sports Ministry grounds, Torrington Avenue commencing at 9.30 a.m.

The match will make assessments of the technical knowledge, knowledge of rules and regulations and the other skills the students have mastered during the course period and this will also be a selection trial for the higher diplomas conducted by the NISC.

The two teams will consist of players from all provinces in Sri Lanka and the referees from the Football Federation of Sri Lanka will officiate.
