Annites rout Kegalu Vidyalaya

St. Anne’s College, Kurunegala thrashed Kegalu Vidyalaya, Kegalle by 105 points (21 tries) to nil in their inter-school Under 20 Division one rugby encounter played at Maligawa grounds Kurunegla on Friday.

Annites were in terrific form and posted 12 tries during their first half.

Then they added nine more tries in the second half to post 21 tries in all during the match. All these tries were unconverted. C.P. Reginald collected 55 of these points by posting 11 tries.

He was well supported by M.C. Hettiarachchi who collected 4 tries. D.B. Yohan (3), L.P.N. Fernando (1), Sudath Abeyratne (1), Amal Kithsiri (1) and S.V. Ratnayake (1) were the other try for the winners.

Annites also crushed Sri Sumangala College Kandy by 55 points to nil in their opening encounter two weeks ago.

Rohan Balasuriya referred the match.
