Book launch
Somaweera Senanayake’s Baladevage Lokaya will be launched at
Dayawansa Jayakody Book Exhibition Hall, Colombo 10, on June 16 at 10
a.m.
Baladevage Lokaya is the second part of the author’s popular novel
Yashoravaya which was later made into a teledrama.
Senanayake is an award-winning author who wrote Raja Kale Punchi
Lamai, Mawakage Geethaya, Yashoravaya, Menik Nadiya Gala Basi, Paramitha,
Andurata Pahanak, Api Thavamath Sansare, and Sathun Athara Bosathvaru.
Baladevage Lokaya is a Dayawansa Jayakody publication.
 Sonduru
Sathsara 2009
A classical music event titled Sonduru Sathsara 2009 will be held at
the DBS Auditorium, Singapore, on August 23. Vocalists Sunil Edirisinghe,
T.M. Jayaratne, Bandara Athauda and Niranjala Sarojani will take part.
Visharadha Manoj Peries will provide music with his orchestra.
The event is organized by WKS International Pte Ltd.
Wasantha’s paintings in Kelaniya
Wasantha Namaskara’s latest exhibition of paintings titled Rathu
Palasa Matha Nidhana Gahniya (A woman asleep on a red carpet) will be
exhibited at Namaskara Visual Art Gallery, 175, Dippitigoda Road,
Kelaniya, on June 21 from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. |
