Top artistes join Fête de la Musique 2009


A scene from ‘Fête de La Musique’ held in the past

Once again 'Fête de La Musique' organised by the Alliance Française de Colombo will come alive on June21 from 12 noon to 6 p.m. at the Alliance Française Auditorium at 11 Barnes Place, Colombo 7. This unique musical event began in France in 1982 and is now celebrated all over the world.

Here in Sri Lanka this musical event has grown in popularity amongst the young and old and every year many people take part and people of all ages come to see it. It is free.

A couple of leading School Bands and well known musicians Ronnie Leitch, Annesley Malewana, Corrine Almeida, Judy de Silva, fusion music maestro Anthony Surendra ,

Keerthi Pasqual and the dancing troupe of Chandana Wickramasinghe will entertain the crowd backed by Annesley Malewana and Super Chimes.
