Interviews to fill Principal service vacancies

Moves are under way by the Education Ministry to fulfill Principal service vacancies which have been prevailing for a long period.

Accordingly, interviews are currently being held for filling Principal Service vacancies, Education Ministry sources said. Under this program, the Ministry has planned to fill vacancies of Principal Service 2-11 by the end of June while the Principal Service 3 vacancies will be filled by August.

It has been reported that the school system is affected by shortage of Principals' service officials for years since the Education Ministry could not be able to fill vacancies of Principal Services for various reasons. The reluctance of teachers to enter into the Principal Service, legal actions of teachers' and principals' trade unions are among them.
