Suntel to expand business in NE
Gayan Kanchana
Suntel is planning business expansion in the North and the East with
the dawn of peace in the country.
“With the dawn of peace and the huge demand for telecom sector
services in the country, we are planning to expand our business in the
North and the East after the launch of a planned new data centre in
Kandy, said Manager Marketing and Promotion, Enterprise Sector Suntel
Ltd., Asanga Witharana.
“Very recently we launched our newest second data centre in Malabe
spending 7 million US dollars. Our next target is to launch our third
data centre in Kandy and we are keen to expand our business to the rural
market segment too. Hence we have decided to start business in the North
and the East soon after the Government gives clearance,” he said.
He said, “Telecommunications continues to be one of the world’s
fastest-growing industries, both in technological innovations and user
base. Successful telecommunications providers are able to respond to the
growing need for service efficiency while building positive customer
relationships.
The company has an all-digital network that connects thousands of
residential customers and businesses ranging from corner shops to
multinational corporations. To expand our corporate business sector we
are promoting Converged Voice Data Video Solution because this service
enables Suntel to take corporate and business telecommunication to the
next generation of networking.
This facilitates business productive applications and economization
of resources to zero on capital expenditure, and most importantly
reduces operational expenses,” Witharana said.
The technology enables consumers not to spend on capital equipment
but to rent it as an operational expense based business model. This
enables companies to share the same platform and minimize capital
investment, at times zero investment, yet share one of the advanced cost
economizing features such as remote office, and unified communication
features across devices, he said.
“We are indeed happy to have introduced the latest technology to Sri
Lanka to help companies overcome difficulties by trimming costs without
any capital investment which is hard to come by these days,” he said. |
