Kalutara District Cricket team beat formidable Colombo South 'B' by three wickets in their Inter District Tournament match organized by Sri Lanka Cricket and worked off at Moratuwa recently.

Taking the first lease Colombo South 'B' were all out for 193 runs with Shehan Jayasuriya top scoring with 53 runs. Savith Priyan bowled best for the visitors with 4 for 19.

Kalutara District team in reply passed the homesters total with three wickets intact. Chatura Nilaweera 45 and Kumudhu Hasanka unbeaten on 49 were the chief run getters for the visitors. Amila Aponso had 4 for 45 for the losers.
