Daniel Lee, the Sri Lanka elite swimmer who has brought honour and
glory has been appointed as the Assistant. Head Coach of the Monash
University Swimming Academy in Australia.

Lee who is following a degree on Sports Science and Swimming
Management for three year period is happy on his new appointment.
He is the first Sri Lankan to be appointed to this post. Daniel Lee
told the Daily News his main aim is to impart his knowledge and
experience gained to Sri Lanka swimmers on his return after completing
the course.
Lee in a telephone conversation thanked the Daily News the support
extended.
This has given me tremendous motivation to achieve further success in
my studies and swimming.
It's somewhat bitter news that Lee was involved in a road mishap when
he was driving home after a training session couple of days back.
Lee said that he is recovering fast from the accident and his doctor
has advised him to rest for few weeks.
The 19 year old Lee is expected to swim for the Monash University in
the forthcoming Victoria State swimming championships. Last year he was
the fastest free style swimmer in Victoria State Schools meet. |
