Dengue eradication campaign:

Clean up your office on June 19

The Colombo Municipal Council which has launched a dengue eradication program in the Colombo city has declared June 19 as the day to clean up the premises of Government departments and offices.

Municipal Commissioner J. M. Bhadrani Jayawardane has requested all heads of Government departments and offices in the city to launch shramadana campaigns with the participation of their staff to dispose all waste and damaged items in their workplaces.

Since all Municipal workers and vehicles are now being deployed for cleansing activities in urban habitats, departments and institutions could arrange to remove damaged items and earth on a payment basis by speaking to the relevant district engineers on the following telephone numbers.
