Seasoned actor turned film director Sanath Gunatileke’s maiden movie
Ekamath Eka Rateka (Once Upon a Time)is screening at Majestic cinema,
Colombo, Regal cinema, Colombo, Lido Borella and 23 other CEL and Ridma
circuit theatres island wide.
Ekamath Eka Rateka which is being screened at Majestic includes
French subtitles, making the movie the first to be subtitled in the
French language.
The story which is based on French writer Emile Zola’s short story
Pour Une Nuit d’Amour, revolves around a sensuous damsel who subjugates
male supremacy. It brings a fresh theme to local moviegoers who had been
used to doses of youth romance, parent vs children themes and justice
triumphing over evil.
Popular television presenter Nirosha Perera enters cinema through the
movie which also stars Sanath Gunatileke, Roshan Ravindra, Chandani
Seneviratne, Tony Ranasinghe, Semini Iddamalgoda, Himali Siyurangi,
Damitha Abeyratne, Kumara Thirimaduwa, Thanuja Dilhani, Nilmini Buwenaka,
The movie is a Janaka Ramanayake presentation.
