More LTTE weapons found

The Security Forces continuing search and mopping up operations to
recover arms and ammunition left behind by the LTTE have found a cache
of arms and ammunition in Mullaitivu on Wednesday.
Military spokesman Brigadier Udaya Nanayakkara said troops of the 58
division engaged in mopping up operations have recovered eight T-56
rifles and ten I-Com sets in the Mullivaikkal area on Wednesday.
Meanwhile, troops of the 57 division during a search operation in the
Mullaitivu area recovered a haul of arms and ammunition in
Puthukudiyiruppu on Wednesday around 11.45am.
Troops recovered 15 suicide jackets with explosive device, eight
suicide jackets without explosive device, five suicide belts without
explosive device, 16 claymore mines, 11 Arul bombs, three RPG weapons, a
hand para, three AP mines, 20kg C4 explosives, three MPMG ammunition, 12
of 81mm mortar fuses, 18 of 81mm mortar cartridges, 10 hand grenades, 14
of T56 gas tubes, 15 of T56 magazines, a Bangalore torpedo and an I-com
set.
