streamlined service to the people of the province by overcoming all
challenges and impediments because the governing party has an overall

Minister Prasanna Ranatunga said.
The WPC will have to render a unique service to support the
Government to overcome the present economic recession in the country,
the Chief Minister added.
He was addressing the inaugural session of the fifth Provincial
Council of the Western Province held at the Council Office Complex,
Battaramulla yesterday. Recalling President Mahinda Rajapaksa's recent

communal differences and work towards a single goal of rebuilding the
country.
