Humid weather for next two weeks

The present humid weather condition will prevail at least for the next two weeks until the southwest monsoon rains would break at the end of May or early June, meteorologist P.G. Yasarathna told the Daily News yesterday.

Landward winds blowing from the sea is humid as the temperature of the sea is around 27 -28 degrees, especially affecting the coastal areas from Colombo to Galle, creating more humidity at the lower level of the atmosphere over the island, he said.
