New SLFP organizers

The Sri Lanka Freedom Party yesterday appointed three Organizers for the Borella, Kolonnawa and Colombo Eastern and Western electorates. R. Duminda Silva who secured the highest preferential votes from the Colombo District at the recently concluded Western Provincial Council election was appointed SLFP Chief Organizer for Kolonnawa electorate.

Former Cricket Board Chairman Thilanga Sumathipala who polled the second highest preferential votes from the Colombo district has been appointed SLFP Chief Organizer for Borella electorate while former Minister Nawalage Banette Cooray is the SLFP Chief Organizer for the Colombo Eastern and Western constituency.

President Mahinda Rajapaksa yesterday handed over the appointment letters to these new SLFP Organizers in the Colombo district at a simple ceremony attended by Party General Secretary Maithreepala Sirisena, Transport Minister Dullas Allahapperuma and Senior Cabinet Ministers.
