Got your IQ and EQ? xQ’s next!:

The Execution Intelligence

Most organizations have plenty of IQ. Never before in history have so much talent, creativity and raw intellect poured in to the workforce.

A lot of ‘smarts’ goes in to the development of organizational strategies these days, the strategy is the traditional focus of the best and the brightest. Part of the Chief Learning Officer’s job is to recruit, grow and retain a lot of IQ. But you need much more than the IQ to get results.

There is also a need for EQ, or Emotional Intelligence, Daniel Goleman has popularized EQ as an essential trait of good organizational leadership. An organization with high EQ is guided by a vision that’s emotionally magnetic and galvanizes people to make their best efforts.

So, no lack of smarts or vision. But how about xQ or ‘Execution Intelligence’?

Smart highly motivated people can and do fail to achieve the vision or the most important goal of the team or organization. About 70 per cent organizational failures are due to poor execution. What we need in our teams and organizations is more xQ - Execution know-how.

Franklin Covey as an organization has made an in depth research into this most important area of organizational success. For many years this research has helped to build the execution capability in teams and organizations throughout the world.

XQ is also called a vital health check for any organization for leaders to know where the problem is, it provides the vital diagnosis and the prescription for the senior leaders to develop an execution culture within the teams and organization.

Franklin Covey has figures from the world over to share with clients regionwise and even industrywise to see how the Execution Intelligence works in organizations.

We even have case studies to show how certain companies on the verge of collapse have recovered, how they were able to double the size of the organization in just 18 months so on.

The xQ Survey is a very simple Internet Based tool where each participant takes time to answer the questions and the reporting is completely anonymous. This simple survey will help teams and organizations to identify or even know the current execution gap within teams and organizations.

Once we identify this we at “Franklin Covey” has developed the right process for teams and organizations to internalize and close the Execution GAP or to master the execution intelligence called “The 4 disciplines of execution”.

This service is available with the Franklin Covey Team in Sri Lanka and they are pleased to support any organization to close the Execution Gap.

“A leader who says I have got ten priorities to work on does not know what he is talking about.

He doesn’t know himself what the most important things are” - Ram Charan - Harvard Business Professor and author of many books including Execution.
