Karunanidhi’s statement on Prabhakaran sad - Rambukwella

Foreign Employment Promotion and Welfare Minister and Government’s Defence Spokesman Keheliya Rambukwella said he was sad to hear Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M. Karunanidhi saying that LTTE Leader Prabhakaran who killed Indian Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi was a close friend of him.

Prabhakaran was a cancer to the civilised world which honoured democracy and if Karunanidhi treated him as a friend serious doubts would arise about Karunadhi’s political policies, Rambukwella said.

Addressing the media in Kandy, Rambukwella said Karunanidhi had stated that he would not be able to bear it if Prabhakaran was killed.

Rambukwella said if anyone tried to give oxygen to Prabhakaran and his dying outfit it would be a great injustice to the innocent Tamil civilians in Sri Lanka.
