Search operation nabs two suspects

A team of officers attached to the special squad of the Tangalle Police Division in a search operation apprehended two suspects hidden in a jungle closed to the model junior school at Polommaruwa.

The two suspects arrested had no identity cards and four others who were with them had escaped, the police said.

Following the arrest of these suspicious characters a team of the special squad conducted a sudden search operation in Tangalle, Kadurupokuna, Polommaruwa and Sitinamaluwa areas on the instructions S.S.P. Tangalle, Neil Daluwaththa and A.S.P. Tangalle, A.G.J. Chandrakumara.
