Brett Hemsley appointed AP Head of Financial Institutions
Fitch Ratings has appointed Brett Hemsley as Managing Director and
Head of the Financial Institutions group in Asia Pacific.
The appointment will enable Fitch to enhance its strategic focus in
the region through oversight of the bank and insurance rating groups as
well as a number of other product areas such as covered bonds, funds and
asset management, international public finance and REITs. Brett will
also take on a larger role in the analysis and management of the
Financial Institutions analytical team in Japan. Brett Hemsley has
rejoined Fitch from his previous position as Head of Research and Senior
Banks Analyst at HSBC Securities (Japan).
Prior to this he worked at Fitch from 2001-2006 mainly in Tokyo where
he was co-head of the Financial Institutions team, covering the major
banks, leading initiation of the coverage of the shinkin and regional
bank sector as well as expansion of the insurance sector rating coverage
in Japan and around the region. |
