Police find decomposed body of woman

Mount Lavinia Police found the decomposed body of a retired lecturer from her residence at Samudrasanna Road, Mount Lavinia on Saturday.

The deceased was identified as a Ratna Fernando, 64, who had returned to the country recently from abroad. Police following a complaint made by one of her brothers had broken open the house and recovered the body lying in the veranda allegedly for four days.
