Thai Buddhist delegation arrives today

A Buddhist delegation will arrive in the island from Thailand today(13) at the invitation of Urban Development and Sacred Area Development Minister Dinesh Gunawardena .

The delegation comprises 150 members among them professors of the Universities in Thailand.

They will be in Sri Lanka for a couple of weeks during which they expect to visit Avukana Rajamaha Temple, Mirisawetiya, Abhayagiri temple, Sri Maha Bodhi, Ruwanmelisaaya, Jetavanaramaya, Thuparama, Isurumuni, , Mihintale, Polnnaruwa Cave Tempe, , Matale Alu Vihara, Sri Dalada Maligawa of Kandy, Suriyagoda Rajamaha Vihara, Mahiyangana Rajamaha Vihaara, Kelaniya Rajamaha Vihara, Vidyalankara Pirivena of Kelaniya, , Gangarama , Vajiragnana Dharmayatana of Maharagama.
