Sri Lankan embassy issues passport alert

The Sri Lankan Embassy in Doha, Qatar has urged its citizens holding the passports, with their children's photographs pasted on "N" series, to immediately apply for new passports.

Immigration and Emigration Controller in Colombo has informed that such passports will be cancelled when they return to Sri Lanka. The Embassy requested Lankans holding the "N" series passports to apply for new one for the children along with relevant documents well in advance of their anticipated travel to Sri Lanka.
