World Health Day falls today. The day will be celebrated under the theme 'Health facilities in emergencies'.

The national program to mark the day will take place today at 9.00 am at the Medical Research Institute, Borella with the participation of Healthcare and Nutrition Minister Nimal Siripala de Silva, a Ministry spokesman said.

He said World Health Day is celebrated on April 7 every year and focuses on key health issues Each year a theme is selected by the WHO that highlights a priority area of concern.
