Programs on Rupavahini
Rupavahini had decided to telecast a host of Sinhala and Hindi movies
for the Avurudu season.

Lester-Sumithra movies
Films by veteran filmmakers Lester James Peries and Sumithra Peries
will be aired on Sundays at 12.05 p.m. Gahanu Lamai will be telecast on
April 12, Delovake Athara on April 19 and Rekhava on April 26.
Hindi movies
Yash Chopra's Veer Zaara starring Shahrukh Khan, Preity Zinta and
Rani Mukerji in the leading roles, with Kirron Kher, Divya Dutta and
Anupam Kher in supporting roles will be telecast on April 7 at 10.30
p.m.
Sumith Kumara's Kurulu Pihatu with Jackson Anthony, Dilhani Ekanayake,
Sajith Anuththara, Hemasiri Liyanage, Suresh Gamage, Seetha Kumari,
Saranapala Jayasuriya, Muthu Tharanga, Senaka Titus, Sarath Chandrasiri
and others making up the cast will be featured on April 9.
Jodhaa Akbar which clinched the Filmfare award for Best Film along
with a handful of other titles at this year's Filmfare Awards will be
telecast on Rupavahini on April 11 at 10.10 p.m.
Directed and produced by Ashutosh Gowariker, the director of the
Academy Award-nominated Lagaan (2001) the movie stars Hrithik Roshan and
Aishwarya Rai Bachchan in lead roles.
In addition Bunty Aur Bubly will be telecast on April 18 while Dilka
Rishta will be aired on April 25. |
