Procession to collect goods for the North

Kadamalu Bendagana Uthurata Negam makes its way to Vavuniya:

Rupavahini will showcase a host of programs for the Avurudu season to establish an alliance with the North and South. A special event in which they will distribute new garments, toys, books and stationary will be held during this period.

The program to gather goods will begin on April 4 in Tangalle and will reach Vavuniya on April 8.

Titled Kadamalu Bendagana Uthurata Negam (A journey distributing gifts to the North) the program is organized by Sri Lanka Rupavahini Corporation in collaboration with the Ministry of Social Services and Social Welfare.

The procession which will be collecting the goods will pass Kurunegala and reach Mawathagama and Anuradhapura on April 7 and they will be making their way from Anuradhapura to Vavuniya on April 8.
