ACCA Sri Lanka moves to new premises
The Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) Sri Lanka
is relocating to a larger, dedicated building on Duplication Road,
Colombo.
Country Manager Aruni Rajakarier said, "We had outgrown our old
office on Rosmead Place and our new premises reflect ACCA's position as
a modern, dynamic brand."
Since becoming one of ACCA's 80 centres worldwide with the opening of
their first office in Colombo in 2002, ACCA Sri Lanka has enjoyed steady
growth. Many Sri Lankans are attracted by ACCA's provision of both an
internationally-recognised professional accountancy qualification and a
UK BSc (Hons) degree in Applied Accounting from Oxford Brookes
University.
The new premises have a futuristic interior that features state of
the art facilities such as self-service internet terminals to allow
on-the-spot account management and exam entry.
The building also incorporates a flexible resource and meeting area
that can be configured to fit the needs of ACCA stakeholders.
However ACCA's attention to individual student counselling and
excellent personal service remains unchanged.
The Chief Guest, Country Director British Council Gill Westaway
commended the initiative and said that the British Council would work
together with ACCA to promote the qualification.
