Basnahira South and Wayamba favourites to enter final

Basnahira South and Wayamba Province will start as the favourites to enter the final when the Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) organised Inter Provincial Twenty20 tournament semifinals gets under way at the SSC grounds in Maitland Place today.

Basnahira South who finished at the top of the points table after the completion of the preliminary round matches will confront Kandurata Province in the first semi-final fixture while Wayamba Province will take on Ruhuna Province in the second semifinal match.

Basnahira South will take the field with a great amount of confidence and with a psychological advantage after having defeated the same opponents by a convincing margin during their preliminary round fixture.

Wayamba Province will also move into the semi-final with their heads high after their crushing five wicket triumph against the same opponents in the preliminary round match. The final of the tournament will be played on Sunday at the Same venue.
