Fake note racket busted

Panadura Police District Crime Investigations Bureau OIC Inspector Sarath Dasanayake and officers raided a house in Alubomulla, Panadura and seized a counterfeit currency notes printing machinery.

Police seized counterfeit notes to the tune for Rs. 244,000, two computers, a scanner and two mobile phones.

Police arrested two suspects including the motorcyclist who transported the printed counterfeit currency notes. The raid was conducted by the police investigation unit under the direction of Panadura Headquarters Chief Inspector M. Hettiarachchi.
