New Directors at Union Assurance

Union Assurance has appointed Arjuna Gunaratne, Ashan De Zoysa, Gerald de Saram and Krishan Balendra as Directors of the company from April 1.

Arjuna Gunaratne is a Director of Central Finance Company PLC where he oversees Strategic Planning and Risk Management.

Ashan de Zoysa holds a Bachelor of Commerce Degree from the University of New South Wales, Sydney - Australia. Whilst in Australia, he worked in the fields of Information Technology and was involved in Trading Derivatives and Commodities.

Gerald de Saram is the Managing Director/CEO of Akzo Nobel Paints Lanka (Pvt) Ltd. (formerly CIC Paints Private Ltd). He joined CIC Paints when it was formed.

Krishan Balendra is the President responsible for Retail, Corporate Finance, Strategy and Stock Broking at John Keells Holdings PLC.

Chandima Gunawardena, Chandana Tissera and Jayampathi Bandaranayake will cease to be members of the UA Board.
