‘Chillies 2009’ Awards show re-scheduled
The 2009 edition of the nation’s biggest and most prestigious
advertising awards festival, the Sri Lanka Advertising Awards, unveiled
at the end of last month, has been re-scheduled for May 2 due to the
Western Province Elections coinciding with a previously announced
‘Chillies 2009’ Awards Show on April 25, the organizers said.
The organizers said the public is assured that the change in date
pertains only to the main show and exhibition while all other Chillies
Week 2009 events will be held as previously scheduled.
These include “Brief to a Grand Prix” workshop by Agnello Dias (April
20 from 9.00 a.m. to 1.00 p.m.); “Creativity in two worlds” seminar by
Masako Okamura and Senthil Kumar (April 21 from 6.00 p.m. to 8.00 p.m.),
TV and Print judges forum (April 22 from 6.00 pm to 8.00 pm), Radio and
Non Traditional Media judges forum (April 23 from 6.00 pm to 8.00 pm),
“It doesn’t have to be an ad” workshop by Graham Kelly (April 24 from
9.00 a.m. to 1.00 p.m.), and “Creativity for tough times” seminar by
Graham Kelly (April 24 from 6.00 p.m. to 8.00 p.m.).
The 2009 Finalists Exhibition has been re-scheduled from April 28-30,
10.00 a.m. to 5.00 p.m. with one new workshop to be added to the line-up
of international heavyweights judging and speaking during Chillies Week
2009.
