China to sign trade deal with Taiwan
China: China announced interest to begin talks with Taiwan to sign a
trade deal to help that island to overcome effects of the current global
economic crisis.
Fan Liqing, in charged of Taiwan Affairs Office of the Council of
State (Cabinet) told Xinhua that the continental part want to boost an
agreement to benefit peaceful development in both sides of the Strait.
But the official specified that both parts have not yet start talking to
implement a comprehensive economic cooperation agreement, not even extra
official.
Any way, Beijing will actively continue boosting implementation of
agreement to benefit economies in continental China and Taiwan Island,
he said. He also recalled both parts will hold talks to boost joint
efforts aimed at fighting crimes, strengthening financial cooperation
and establishing regular flights between both countries’ airports.
Flight exchange through charters from Taiwan and continental
