Thakshila old and present boys clash

The inaugural school cricket team vs old boys 30-overs cricket match of Thakshila Maha Vidyalaya organized by the Old Boys Association will be played at Chandrajothi College ground, Yakkala on Sunday.

For a school that does not play an annual big match, in fact there is not one for the whole of Gampaha, the occasion will take a festive air.

The Principal P.W. Seneviratne said that the event would be important to the school in fostering the harmony, spirit of students and also the unity between children past and present.

The present boys' team will be led by Dilan Chathuranga and the old boys' team will be Captained by Lahiru Ranamuka Dissanayaka.
