Annual ICASL conference 2009
The Practising Accountants Chartered Student Society (PACCS) the
student body of The Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka (ICASL)
held its annual student conference yesterday under the theme World for
the knowledge and knowledge for the world.
The conference will be held at the Galadari Hotel.
The PACSS was founded in 1981 to represent the interest of the
student base of the ICASL and since the inception, it has held events
providing not just knowledge and wisdom for the students but excellent
opportunities to interact with the outer business world.
The Annual Student conference is an event organized by the Student
Society (PACCS) with the guidance of the ICASL, mainly with the
objective of nurturing the students with the knowledge of the business
world and to provide them an opportunity to question prominent figures
on the happenings of the business world.
Hasitha Premaratne, Dr. Nalaka Godahewa, Dr. Harsha De Silva and
Channa De Silva were present.
Student delegates from India, Pakistan, Bangladesh and Nepal have
been also invited to take part in the conference under the SAFA
students' Exchange Program to strengthen the relationship between South
Asian Federation of Accountants (SAFA) and the ICASL.
