Colombo team 'A' favoured to win SLDCA trophy
Colombo team 'A' is favoured to win the Sri Lanka Deaf Cricket
Association trophy again at the all island deaf six-a-side cricket
tournament which is to be held on Sunday 5th April 2009 at the Shalika
grounds, Narahenpita, Colombo-5, commencing at 9 a.m. onwards.
The prize distribution will be held on the same day and this
tournament is being organised by the Sri Lanka Deaf Cricket Association
for the second successive year. Many deaf teams from various part of Sri
Lanka are taking part.
The tournament will be held under the guidance of Shivantha
Vivekanandan who is the President of the Sri Lanka Deaf Cricket
Association. He said that the deaf players who are selected, join the
pool where they play the leather ball cricket under the guidance of the
coaches Messrs Jayalath Aponso and Bobby Fernando.
Mrs. Zaharine Hameen (patron), Mrs. Anula Rangani (Chairperson), Miss
Dinusha Fernando and the members of the Sri Lanka Deaf Cricket
Association have also been involved in making arrangements for the
tournament.

Sri Lanka Deaf Cricket Association and its closes on 28th March 2009.
