Seminar on Proactive Dispute Resolution

The Chamber of Construction Industry Sri Lanka in collaboration with the Commonwealth Association for Surveyors and Land Economists will host a Seminar on "Proactive Dispute Resolution and Claims Management in Construction" on March 19 at Hotel Galadari.

This seminar will enlighten the participants on "Measured Mile Analysis" a popular analytical method used by claimant contractors in an effort to quantify direct labour productivity losses on construction projects. Even though this technique is relatively unknown in Sri Lanka, the core fundamentals of the method have been adopted by various government agencies and large contractors on EPC projects.

The "Measured Mile method" is known to be an effective tool but as in many other causation and damage analysis techniques, many a consultant, contractor or an attorney have often failed to fully understand the methodology.
