England captain Andrew Strauss blamed poor
batting for his side’s defeat in their Twenty20 International
against West Indies on Sunday. England were dismissed for a paltry
121 in 19.1 overs at Queen’s Park Oval and lost the match by six

Thomians overall champions
The Swimmers from S. Thomas’ College, Mt Lavinia
became overall Boys champions at the Age Group Relay Championships
2009 after a lapse of 7 years. This event was conducted by the
Interim Committee of Sri Lanka Aquatic Sports Union and was held at
the Sugathadasa stadium last weekend.
