Construction nearing completion on Kegalle industrial estate

The Kegalle Industrial Estate at Galigamuwa being constructed at a cost of Rs. 120 million is due to be completed by end of June.

Industrial Development Ministry Secretary R.V.D. Piyatilleke stated already 80 per cent of work has been completed.

The industrial venture cited in an area of 22 acres, will provide employment opportunities to 1,000-1,500 persons and indirect employment to about 2,000.

Already investors have shown their interest. Investments will be in the range of over 1,000 millions, the Secretary said.
